Platamid® HX 2507F Pellets
Alcohol Soluble Copolyamides

Platamid® HX 2507F Alcohol Soluble Copolyamides comprises copolyamides of different structures, molecular weights and melting characteristics which are particularly well suited for coating solutions. The products offer good film forming properties, excellent abrasion resistance and good adhesion to both metallic and non-metallic surfaces. 

The main feature of all products us the ability to form stable solutions after dissolving in lower aliphatic alcohols, such as:
  • Methanol
  • Ethanol
  • Propanol / Isopropanol
  • Butanol / Isobutanol
  • or mixtures of these 

As well as in higher boiling alcohols, such as:
  • Benzyl alcohol
  • cyclohexanol
Aromatic hydrocarbons, like xylene, or SOLVESSO®, can be added at concentrations up to 20 to 30 parts by weight. These hydrocarbons do not interfere with dissolution, and improve storage stability. Solubility in conventional lacquer solvents such as ketones, esters or ethers is negligible.
All Platamid® grades are compatible in solution. This allows blending to achieve special effects.

Non-dried pellets („F“) with a maximum residual moisture content of ≤ 1.8 %

PACKAGING

In 25 kg paper bags with aluminium foil / polyethylene liners on 1000 kg pallets

SHELF LIFE
